The home Ethereal has done it again, folks. This time he’s given us a Project Pat remix, although “remix” might not really be the right way to describe it. It’s really its own original song. Ethereal’s style lately has been somewhere in between trill and trippy (my only problem with it is that there’s no catchy way to combine those words – trilly? trippill?). He’s in his own lane in a major way. I dare you to find something that sounds quite like this. Enjoy and make sure to check out his numerous other projects.
Atlanta hip hop journeyman 4-ize teamed up with fellow Atliens Scar and Floyd the Locsmif for this latest track, “Rollin Like a Gee.” The results are every bit as sharp as Luda’s hairline.
And if you happen to find yourself in the Atlanta area on September 3rd, be sure to catch 4-ize opening for Little Brother at The Loft, brought to you by SpeakEasy Promo.
The iron-bearded homie @_loso had the good graces to share some new music from up-and-coming, Chicago based MC F. Stokes. Check out the first leak off F. Stokes’ Baked Goods mixtape, “Wait A Minute”. If you can dig it, check out the link to “Jojo Dancer” which is set to appear on his Fearless Beauty EP with Brooklyn based production team, Clubhouse Kids dropping later this month. Also be on the lookout for the “Jojo Dancer” video coming next week.
Bonus: Video interview with Stokes for YRB magazine.

UPDATE: No Tags – This is gonna be on Jeezy’s TM103. A snippet of Jeezy’s verse leaked a while ago. I know the snowman will always rep the streets first but this ish has way more single potential than Jizzle. While I’m on that shit…I know it’s “Who Dat” on steroids and whatever but what’s up with the name? I’m not so sure what he’s talking about now when he’s saying “All White Everything” No homo though.
So I know this will be all over every blog on these internets within 20 minutes but I feel like we have to. New Andre 3000 only comes once every 7 months and it makes my year (entire existence?) so why not give it the shine it deserves. This ish right here is on some straight “Intl. Players Anthem” type vibe too. Andre over soul samples is like fine wine down the ear lobe (word to jigga). After all his experimentation how ill would it be for him to just come back over all these kanye circa 2001 beats? Updated no tags download link cheah
Optimus Pikachu is an alter-ego of the homie Ethereal, one of Atlanta’s most eclectic and interesting young producers. “Pimp Z” sounds like if you put a subwoofer on your Gameboy. You can check out more of his stuff HERE.
Krizzle’s been getting mad love on blogs recently since the release of “Krit Wuz Here.” I’m not trying to boast or brag, but I personally have been on the lookout for the Mississippi lyricist since like 2007. Back when I was hosting the Halftime Hip Hop Show at UGA, we got a hold of Krit’s first mixtape and had tried to get him to come up to Athens for an interview. Couldn’t make it work out but it’s still cool to see him blowing up now. I recently found this mixtape that the good people at rapmullet.com put together called “Woodgrain Soul- The unofficial best of Big K.R.I.T.” All bangers over his own production plus some jackin for beats shit. If you aren’t on Krit yet you’re snoozing hard. DL right cheah
